Since the second edition of the Golden Vines® Awards, held in 2022, Amorim Cork has supported the world’s most exclusive fine wine event. Bringing together producers, winemakers, and opinion leaders who are transforming the present and shaping the future of the wine sector, the Golden Vines® Awards have reaffirmed their value by distin guishing the quality of the world’s finest wines and also as promoters of art, creativity and sustainability. For Amorim Cork, which supports the initiative, namely through development of the trophy that has already become an icon, this is an opportunity to strengthen its connection with the leading players in the fine wine and rare spirits segments, and underline the company’s strong commitment to promoting innovation and sustaina bility throughout the value chain. In the 2025 edition, Amorim Cork introduced a new accolade, the Amorim Best Fine Wine Producer in Innovation Award, that was presented to Rosa Kruger, chairperson of the Old Vine Project, distinguishing her pioneering work in preserving South Africa’s historic vineyards.
A trophy that celebrates colour, nature, and creativity
The artist Jen Stark was inspired by the colours of the Mediter ranean, the hills of the Champagne region, and the valleys of California to create the trophy for the 2025 edition of the Golden Vines® Awards - a cork stopper transformed into an authentic 3D canvas. Perhaps the most striking feature of this year’s design, created by Jen Stark and developed in partnership with Amorim Cork, is the choice of vibrant colours and optical effects, which reflect the influences present in Stark’s work and her immediate surroundings: the cultural and natural heritage of her hometown, Miami. The vibrancy of these colours reflects the spectrum of stories and experiences that fuel artistic expression, but also the content of each bottle. “It was a great honour to design the Golden Vines® 2025 trophy. Working with cork was a first for me. It was a very stimulating challenge to create the work using this new material,” comments Jen Stark. “Inspired by the organic geometry of shells, geodes, and fractals, the design brings together natural and cosmic elements. The patterns in the cork, reminiscent of tree rings, subtly evoke its origin. I learned a lot about wine at the award ceremonies and met extraordinary winemakers and enthusiasts. It was a privilege to be part of such an incredible project.”
