Corticeira Amorim SGPS has been recognised by the Financial Times, in partnership with data provider Statista, as one of the 600 European companies included in the Europe’s Climate Leaders 2026 ranking, securing 236th place. The ranking assesses companies’ climate performance based on measurable, verifiable and comparable criteria.
Now in its sixth edition, the Europe’s Climate Leaders ranking highlights European companies that have demonstrated progress in reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The assessment focuses primarily on organisations that achieved the largest reductions in scopes 1 and 2 emissions between 2019 and 2024. These emissions relate respectively to companies’ own operations and to purchased and consumed energy.
Among the criteria considered in the assessment are the reduction of scopes 1 and 2 emissions, including the reduction of absolute emissions and emissions intensity, a minimum CDP rating of B-, and alignment with initiatives such as the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), among others.
With this recognition, Corticeira Amorim reinforces its alignment and commitment with international best practices in climate management and with a consistent decarbonisation pathway.
