Korko's Building Blocks Sets have a negative carbon balance: A life cycle assessment (LCA) conducted by Itecons – the Institute of Research and Technological Development for Construction, Energy, Environment and Sustainability - concludes that the three available sets of «Building Blocks» (with 20, 40 and 60 pieces) all have a negative carbon balance. The sets with 20 and 40 pieces have a carbon balance of -19.88 kg CO2 eq. and -39.75 kg CO2 eq., respectively, while the set with 60 pieces has a carbon balance of -59.59 kg CO2 eq.

Amorim Sports cork infills have a negative carbon balance: A study, based on a tool specifically developed by PwC – PricewaterhouseCoopers, reveals that Amorim Sports cork infills contribute to a lower carbon footprint of sports surfaces, with a negative carbon balance of -72.5kg CO2e/kg.

According to a recent analytic study conducted by the consultancy firm, EY, Go4cork Nature by Corticeira Amorim has a negative carbon balance of -12.4kg CO2 eq/m2.
