Bordeaux
A cork mosaic, inlaid with bronze, covered the central nave of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Bordeaux, CAPC, in an installation created by the renowned Portuguese artist, Leonor Antunes.
For this individual exhibition at the CAPC, the artist used a Wicanders’ flooring solution with a cork visual, from Amorim Revestimentos, to cover an area of 1500 m2, i.e. the entire floor of the Museum’s central nave. The incorporation of metal within the cork floor establishes an immediate connection with the suspended sculptures, produced with bronze wire.
