The natural cork stopper is the ideal closure for a wine’s long storage in bottle and the only one that fully assures the perfect maturation and evolution of the wine. With an unique cellular structure, guarantees a low presence of oxygen inside the bottle, which is a key factor to develop a full balance of the wine. Elasticity, compressibility, innocuity and capacity to adapt to all shapes of the bottle neck are key characteristics that define the natural cork stopper as the only closure capable of assuring the correct conservation of the wine.
The champagne and sparkling wine cork stoppers consist on a agglomerated body formed by cork granules and 1,2 or 3 cork discs glued to one of the body’s ends. Its bigger diameter make these corks the ideal closure to sustain the higher pressures existing inside the sparkling wine bottles. The cork’s unique elasticity present in the granules and in the discs enable an excellent mechanical behavior to these cork stoppers making the bottling much easier.
Natural cork stoppers with a capsule that could be made in several materials like: wood, porcelain, metal, glass, PVC, ect) glued to one of the ends. These corks are normally used in fortified wines or spirits that are ready to drink once they are bottled and that allow you for a long time consumption. These capsulated cork stoppers, besides having the same technical performance of cork, they have the advantage of allowing an easy re-use, a benefit to bottles that you don’t drink all in once.
